1. About These Terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to all bookings, consultations and treatments carried out by Ink and Lift Studio ("we", "us", "our", "the studio"), a private semi-permanent makeup and brow studio based in Cambridge, UK, run by Eilish Duignan. By booking an appointment, whether online, by phone or in person, you ("you", "the client") agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Bookings & Deposits

A booking is only confirmed once the required deposit has been received. All appointments require a 30% deposit. Deposits are non-refundable, but transferable to a future appointment in line with the cancellation terms below.

• Full payment of the remaining balance is due at the time of treatment.
• Prices are as advertised at the time of booking and may change without prior notice for future bookings.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. Notice periods for cancelling or rescheduling an appointment are as follows:

• Standard treatments (brow, lash and other non-SPMU treatments) — please give at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations, reschedules or no-shows within 48 hours of your appointment will result in the loss of your deposit. You may reschedule your appointment once outside of this notice period.
• Semi-permanent makeup treatments — as these appointments require more preparation time, we ask for at least 7 days' notice. Cancellations or amendments made within 7 days of your appointment will result in the loss of your deposit.
• No-shows — failing to attend your appointment without notice will result in the loss of your deposit, and you will need to pay the remaining balance of your treatment upfront to rebook.
• Late arrivals — if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to complete your treatment, and you risk losing your deposit.

This policy applies to all clients, with no exceptions.

4. Age Restriction

Semi-permanent makeup, brow and lash treatments are only available to clients aged 18 and over. Proof of age may be requested. No exceptions are made, including with parental or guardian consent.

5. Patch Testing

As is standard practice for semi-permanent makeup and pigment-based treatments, a patch test is required at least 24–48 hours before your first appointment with us. This helps us check for any adverse reaction before your full treatment. We reserve the right to decline or postpone a treatment if a patch test has not been carried out, or if a reaction occurs.

6. Health & Medical Disclosure

You must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, skin conditions or pregnancy/breastfeeding status when booking and at your consultation. This information is used solely to assess your suitability for treatment and to keep you safe.

We may need to decline, postpone or adapt a treatment where a medical condition, medication or other factor means it would not be appropriate to proceed, including (but not limited to):

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding, for certain treatments
• Blood-thinning medication or bleeding disorders
• Active skin conditions, infections or irritation in the treatment area
• A history of keloid scarring, or uncontrolled diabetes
• Any other condition identified as a contraindication during consultation

It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information. The studio cannot be held responsible for complications arising from undisclosed medical information.

7. Results & Expectations

All treatments offered are semi-permanent, not permanent. Results vary from person to person depending on skin type, lifestyle, aftercare and individual healing. Pigment will fade naturally over time, and periodic top-up appointments (at an additional cost) are usually needed to maintain your desired result. We do not guarantee a specific outcome, shape, colour retention or longevity, and every effort is made to work with you to achieve a natural, flattering result based on your features.

8. Aftercare

Full aftercare instructions will be provided verbally and in writing following your treatment. You are responsible for following this aftercare advice. Failure to do so may affect your results and the studio cannot be held liable for outcomes resulting from aftercare not being followed correctly.

9. Photography & Marketing Consent

We may ask to take before-and-after photographs of your treatment for our records and, with your separate explicit consent, for use on our website, social media and marketing materials. You may decline this at any time without affecting your treatment, and may ask us to remove previously shared images. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle images and personal data.

10. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Treatment

We reserve the right to refuse, postpone or stop a treatment at any time if, in our professional judgement, it is not safe or appropriate to continue.

11. Liability

We take all reasonable care in providing our services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law. Subject to this, we are not liable for reactions or complications arising from undisclosed medical information, or from aftercare instructions not being followed.

12. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images and logos, is the property of Ink and Lift Studio unless otherwise stated, and may not be copied or reproduced without our prior written permission.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
